Every fee is shown before you commit to anything. There are no listing fees and no subscriptions.
01What a Buyer Pays#
A buyer pays the seller's price plus a 8% buyer-protection fee. The fee is added on top of the price and is shown on the order before payment. It funds payment protection, seller verification, listing review, dispute handling and support.
02What a Seller Receives#
When a buyer confirms delivery, the seller's price is credited to their Attesar balance less a 20% commission. The commission is the platform's charge for running the marketplace: hosting the listing, verifying the seller, holding and protecting the payment, and handling any dispute.
The commission rate that applies to an order is the rate in force when the order was created. If we change the rate, orders already placed settle on the terms they were agreed under.
03A Worked Example#
On a product priced at $100:
- The buyer pays $108.00 — $100.00 to the seller's price and $8.00 buyer protection.
- The seller is credited $80.00 — $100.00 less $20.00 commission.
- Attesar receives $28.00 in total.
- Withdrawing $80.00 costs a further 1% withdrawal fee.
04Withdrawal Fee#
A 1% fee applies when a seller withdraws a balance to a bank account, UPI or PayPal. It covers the payout rails and is separate from the commission.
05Listing Fee#
None. Creating and publishing a listing is free, and a listing that never sells costs nothing.
06Taxes#
Our own fees are what you see: a buyer pays the seller's price plus exactly 8%, and a seller receives the sale price less exactly 20%. Where we are required to charge tax on those fees it is included in them, never added on top, and the invoice shows the component.
Separately, if you sell from India, we are required to collect tax at source once your sales through us pass ₹1,00,000 in a financial year. Above that point we withhold 0.5% of the sale value under section 52 of the CGST Act and deposit it against your GSTIN. It is not a fee — it is your money, paid to the tax department in your name, and you claim it back when you file. Your payout statement itemises it. Sellers outside India have nothing withheld.
Tax on the product itself is the seller's responsibility as the supplier of record. Buyers get an invoice for the buyer-protection fee; sellers get a separate commission statement.
07Optional Paid Services#
Spotlight advertising placement is priced separately and is never required to sell. Seller plans, where offered, are optional. Neither affects your position on the merit-based Performance board.
08Changes#
We may change these fees. A change is announced on the Platform before it takes effect and never applies to an order already placed. Sellers with active listings are notified.
